Manchester United to harness talent from Indian soccer

Manchester United, one of the most globally acclaimed  clubs is all set to nurture young footballing talent from the Indian subcontinent.  The Manchester United Soccer school is certainly one of the best in the world where the development of footballers occurs from a grassroots level.  The entire program has been announced in association with Youth Football Association and Apollo Tyres.  The program has been named as Apollo Go The Distance. 

As per the Apollo Go the Distance program, former footballers with international success and experience have been brought in to train the young guns.  It is very important to nurture young talent from a nascent stage and the objective of the program revolves around it. 

Michael Silvestre, one of the   most prolific defenders from the Manchester United golden era launched the program and heaped praise on the potential associated with Indian football. As per a recent statement by FIFA President Sepp Blatter, India is considered as the sleeping giants of international football. With the countdown for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia already underway, it is time to harness a few pure and raw footballing talent from India. 

The scholarship program has commenced from this week and the best technical methods will be showcased to the players participating in the football clinic. With the presence of Michael Silvestre, the players can incur the best training methods pertaining to physical fitness and ball control skills. Two professional trainers from the Manchester United Club have also been especially flown in for this particular training program. 

The President of the All India Football Federation minister Praful Patel always promotes the betterment of the sport in India.

Under the Praful Patel profile, youth development program in Indian football has progressed quite well. The association of English Premier league giants Manchester United with Indian football is quite significant.
