Sourav Ganguly hopes ISL will be pulling in International Clubs

The Kolkata football fans are exhilarated as they find their very own “Dada” Sourav Ganguly to be one of the co-owners of the Kolkata team in the Indian Super League. Sourav Ganguly is hopeful that the other franchises would also try to pull in the support of international clubs to develop the position of the Indian Football. As he said, “I hope not only Atletico, other seven franchises will also talk to big international clubs. That will benefit Indian football”. He seemed to be visibly excited about the participation of Atletico Madrid in the league.

The Former Indian Skipper thinks that Kolkata is the nerve center of Indian Football as he is enthralled about the visit of the Spanish Representatives in India. He would be flying to Spain soon to see the pattern of the approach of Atletico Madrid to the game and the way they want to connect to the franchisee. Ganguly will be in talks regarding the name, jersey of the team in next few weeks along with the selection of the players. Sourav Ganguly will personally monitor the whole selection process and he is expecting Madrid to play an instrumental role in taking Indian Football to a new level. NCP Leader Praful Patel is all set to motivate AIFF to generate the best support to the sport in association with its commercial partner IMG Reliance.

The maestro also emphasized on the necessity of commercialization and requirements of sponsorship to make the game reach at a high level with the best infrastructure of grounds, galleries, dressing rooms and more. He also stresses that the revenue integrated by All India Football Federation would only be percolated to the development of the Indian Football. He appreciated the contributions of Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel who has given his most positive endeavors to bring back the lost glory of the game and to place it on the international landscape.

Praful Patel presides over important AIFF meets

Praful Patel has always been active member at the meetings. It was during the fag end of the year that Praful Patel took active part in the SGBM meeting and presided over the same. It was on the 20th of December, 2013 that these meetings were held at the Football House in Delhi, Dwarka. The meeting also brought into limelight several issues that were acting as a barrier towards the growth of the Indian football. In addition, it also emphasized on the need of implementing a uniform sports code throughout the country, the foundation of which was laid by the Indian government. The article below tells you more about these meetings and how Patel contributed towards the growth of Indian football.

The AIFF committee, headed by NCP Leader Praful Patel met to discuss several issues, linked directly to the growth of Indian football. Patel took active part in both the meetings; the Social General body Meeting (SGBM) and the Annual General body Meeting (AGBM), on the 20th of December, 2013. The other important members who took active part in the meeting apart from Patel were the General Secretary of the AIFF, Mr. Kushal Das, Vice Presidents Mr. KMI Mather, Mr.Shubhash Chopra, Mr. Subrata Dutta, Mr. Larsing Sawyan, the Treasurer Mr. Hardev Jadeja and the several other member associations and the committee members.

The IMG-R representatives Mr. Anshu Jindal and Ms. Priti Srivastava were present for the AGBM meeting along with the FIFA Regional Development officer, South and Central Asia, Dr. Shaji Prabhakaran.

The SGBM meeting was held to bring in amendments to the constitution of the AIFF. The amendments generally adhered to a set of rules and regulation put forward by the Indian government, for the need of a uniform sports code, throughout the country. The amendments have a useful role to play towards the growth of football in India. Given below is a list of the amended part.

“…The President, the Vice-Presidents, the Treasurer and the Members of the Executive Committee shall be elected by the General Body for a period of four years, however, the President and the Treasurer shall cease to hold that post on attaining 70 years of age…”

In addition, the amendment also mentioned that the President of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) could hold his office, for a maximum period of twelve years, without or with a break.

Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel further exhorted in his speech that the Ministry of Sports Youth and Affairs, wanted the AIFF body to adopt a few directives. He also said that our constitution was to display immense clarity, once the anomalies, as suggested by Mr. Subrata Dutta, were changed. If we are to come to terms with reality, then the years, 2014-2017 earmark as the most important years for the Indian football. As the nation leads towards the beginning of the Under 17 FIFA World Cup, the AIFF will certainly witness a seas-change across all its verticals, ranging from administration to finance to training.

Praful Patel’s contributions towards India’s progress in the next few years in terms of football would be equally pivotal. To start with, Patel has already introduced the Grassroots Programs, to select the best young talent across all corners of India that would lead to the formation of the Under 17 football squad.

To add to the tally, India might also see a few big new names, hogging away the limelight, bearing sheer football finesse. If that was not enough, the AIFF also discussed about the state and the plight of Women’s football, in the years to come. While Kushal Das emphasized on AIFF complying with the set guidelines related to age and tenure last year itself, Ms. Sara Pilot gave the members, an insight into Women’s Football. Slowly but gradually, the AIFF is already setting up a platform for India’s youth, allowing the nation to secure an important position, on the map of world football.; and the journey is only upwards from here on.

AIFF President Praful Patel had also signed a MoU with the Australian Football Federation (AFF) which will now facilitate the AIFF with assistance in the field of finance, administration and training. Modi’s rally likely to miss Praful Patel’s turf

India’s probable PM candidate Narendra Modi is all likely to give a miss to Patel’s constituency of Gondiaand Bhandara, during his election campaign, for the upcoming polls. Patel, who would be contesting from the constituency of Gondia and Bhandara, will have Nana Patole as his rival and the debutant Prasanth Mishra, who would be contesting on AAP’s ticket. The article below tells you more about Modi’s election campaign, across the country and his reasons for missing out his campaign on Patel’s turf.

Narendra Modi, India’ probable PM candidate is all set to give a miss to his rally in the districts of Gondiaand Bhandara. It is indeed good news for NCP Leader Praful Patel, who is contesting from the constituency of Gondia and Bhandara against Nana Patole (BJP). According to sources, Modi had given his consentfor three dimension (3-D) rally in Patel’s constituency. Nana Patole, BJP’s candidate against Praful Patel, was keen on Modi’s rally in his constituency, but the Gujarat Chief Minister, who has already held rallies at Wardha, Amravati, Akola and Kisano Se Charcha at Yavatmal, is unlikely to land on Patel’s home turf. Prior to this, Praful Patel was the first one to give a clean chit to Modi on national television, in regards to his association with the 2002 riots. Patel established the fact that there was no point in dragging issuesat this point of time, especially when the Supreme Court had clearly stated that Modi was not even remotely associated with the sabotage that took place during the 2002 Godhra riots. Currently, what India needs is progress and development and not a bunch of ministers all set to reprimand each other any moment, to gain political publicity. Thus, Patel’s statements in regards to Modi’s association with the Godhra riots, seems justified!

Congress President Sonia Gandhi would herself be holding a rally on the 5th of April in Nagpur. Interestingly, former BJP President Nitin Gadkari is the congress candidate, who would be contesting elections, from this region. According to BJP’s Vinod Tawde, the leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, “For the first time in Maharashtra, Modi is going to hold 3-D rallies. It is as good as being personally present on the venue.” In addition, Modi who would be refraining from visiting Patel’s constituency will be holding a 3D rally, in the districts of Gondia and Bhandara. So how much of a difference could it have on the results in these districts. Would it lessen BJP’s impact, without Modi being present? Or will it bear the same influence on the mindset of people. Only time would tell. The current scenario gives us the idea that the people of Gondia and Bhandara are more interested in re-electing Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel, as their leader, in the upcoming elections. The huge turn out during Patel’s election campaign in these districts, gives us a fair idea of what could be the probable outcome. Possibly, Patel is all set to repeat, what happened in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections. Gadkari, who once was a part of BJP conveyed it clearly to their leaders that their party should be focusing more on areas that are difficult to the party not in seats like Beed where Gopinath Munde is in the fray or Nagpur where he himself is contesting.

AIFF President Praful Patel would however be breathing a sigh of relief, for the Modi wave will not hit his constituencies hard. Will many might think that Patel would have won hands down even if Modi was physically present in Patel’s constituency, his absence might just make things a tad easier for the NCP Leader. All said and done, we are indeed in for an interesting contest in the constituency of Gondia of Bhandara. Has Modi handed over an easy win to Praful Patel or will Nana Patole still drive home a clear winner? Until the political mystery unfolds, we’ll hold our horses.

NCP Leader Praful Patel was witnessed campaigning for his candidature along with his wife and children, in the constituency of Gondia and Bhandara. The citizens cheered at the sight of their leader, amidst the presence of the other members of the party. Praful Patel directs North-Eastern units to support Congress

The Congress-NCP alliance is now looking to have a strong hold in the North Eastern regions of India. Praful Patel, who looks after the affairs of the party in these regions, directed the state President of Meghalaya to support congress in these regions, in the upcoming elections. The article below tells you more about the Congress-NCP alliance and Praful Patel’s contributions towards it, for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, 2014.

With less than a week to go for the Lok Sabha 2014 polls, the NCP-Congress alliance is now looking forward to cement a strong hold in the north Eastern regions of the country. To ensure the same, NCP Leader Praful Patel, who looks after the political proceedings of his party in these regions also directed the Meghalaya’s NCP unit to support Congress, in the elections. Currently, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), partner in the Congress-led UPA II at the Centre, has extended support to the two Congress candidates from the Shillong and Tura Lok Sabha constituencies. Even NCP Chief Sharad, who would be contesting for the Rajya Sabha elections this year has promised enough support to the congress party, in the elections. Seems after much ado, both the parties have agreed on lending support to each other, for the success of the alliance. The NCP-Congress alliance has been rampant in Maharashtra, for almost 15 years now. Prior to this, the alliance had disagreed upon several things, including seat sharing, election a commissioner, seats in North Goa and South Goa and so on. Probably, NCP’s decision to support its other half in the upcoming elections will do a world of good to the progress of the alliance, in the years to come.

In his letter addressed to the Meghalaya NCP unit president Sanbor Shullai, NCP permanent secretary SR Kohli said Pawar in consultation with Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel decided not to field any candidate from NCP in Meghalaya for the parliamentary elections and directed the party state unit to support the Congress candidates. The Congress has fielded sitting MP Vincent H Pala for Shillong parliamentary seat and new entrant Daryl William Cheran Momin for Tura. It is indeed a welcome change for the Congress party as its experience in the recent election campaigns, haven’t been worth considering. Probably, Congress can now take heart from the fact that NCP is going all out to support the alliance and that it could make a huge difference, in the way the results turn out to be. On the flipside, NCP has several heavyweight names in its party list. Thus, if the likes of Sharad Pawar and Praful Patel keep extending their support to the Congress party, we might see Congress snatching away another victory in the Lok Sabha polls, from a probable defeat. Prior to the start of the elections, even the members of the NCP left no stone unturned, to support the candidature of Praful Patel, who would be contesting from the constituency of Gondia and Bhandara. These regions might get to witness an exciting contest, amongst Patel, Nana Patole (BJP) and the debutant Prasanth Mishra ( AAP). The trinity might is already grabbing too many eyeballs already, considering Patel’s mammoth victory over Nana Patole, in the 2009 elections.
AIFF President Praful Patel would once again be looking forward to leave an indelible mark, in these elections. In addition, Patel’s contributions towards his constituencies of Gondia and Bhandara in the last five years can be another reason for an emphatic win for Patel, in the upcoming polls. However, we are still in the early days of declaring a clear winner. Only time would tell as to who deserves to be at the helm of affairs, post 16th of May 2014. However, if someone was to seek public opinion in the districts Gondia and Bhandara before the elections, Praful Patel’s name would be the one pronounced in unison.

NCP Leader Praful Patel was also responsible for the initiation of the irrigation projects at Karazkheda, Dhapewada and Bawanthadi. The water supply will now facilitate farmers for their farming and irrigational activities. Sharad Pawar clears his stance on the relationship between sports and politics

The political excursion between players and politicians seems to be hogging away the limelight. Critics often flack politicians for using their political clout in selecting players for major sporting events per se cricket, football, Kabbadi, Kho-Kho and so on. Shard Pawar, in one of his recent interviews with the media cleared his stance, in regarding this matter. The article below tells you more about this issue and how some politicians could change the face of a sporting event in the country, for good.

NCP chief shard Pawar was addressing the media, where he cleared his stance in regards to the relationship between players and politicians. Here’s what the NCP Chief had to say. “At many times there are disagreements over selecting players from various sectors. But, we don’t have any interest in selecting the players, instead we give priority to provide best facilities to the players and also constantly carry out follow ups for the same”. This wasn’t the first time that politicians have come under the scanner, for using their political clout to influence the balance of a side. On the contrary, politicians like Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel have indeed managed to change the fate of some sports in the country. For instance, Patel had rendered useful services towards Indian football. It was only for his unceasing endeavors, that India managed to bring home the rights to host the Under 17 FIFA world Cup, to be hosted in the year 2017. This is the first time that India would be hosting a major FIFA event. In the years to come, we might also see someone leading from the front, to change the fate of other sports like Kabbadi, Hockey and Kho-Kho in India.

Sharad Pawar, who has also served the ICC as its President for a considerable span of two years, has extensive knowledge and idea about governing and handling an organization that looks after the welfare of the players, thereby promoting the best talent amongst them. Pawar also said that there was certainly no connection between politics and sports at all and that they were polls apart. People, however Pawar said managed to draw a connection between sports bodies and the politicians. In his interview, Pawar stated, “At many times people question the connection between sports and politics. I have always faced such criticisms. But I have a clear stand on this, if a player is to be selected for cricket team, Kho-Kho team or Kabbadi team, then we don’t take any interest in that decision making process. But if the players need ground to play or if they are deprived of the required facilities, then it is our duty to provide best facilities to them.” NCP Leader Praful Patel is another individual, who has been responsible for promoting the best football talent in India, for over a year now. Patel, who serves the All India Football Federation as its President was responsible for the equal distribution of Football across the length and breadth of the country. This is one reason that so many new faces have gained the attention of media and even International coaches, for their sheer talent. Apart from introducing these courses and Grassroots programs, Patel also ensured that the football players were provided with the best of facilities, as India builds towards the commencement of the Under 17 FIFA world Cup, in three years’ time.

In a nutshell, Praful Patel’s contributions towards India’s sporting events shall always be remembered, in the years to come. We’ve reached a stage where individuals need to take initiatives for the betterment of the nation, rather than just marring the images of those who are making every effort, towards the same. Concisely, we need veterans like Praful Patel, who can deliver, when the nation needs it the most.

To provide the best of training and administration assistance to its players, AIFF President Praful Patel had signed a MoU with the Australian football Federation, just a few months back. Bengaluru makes way for soccer schools in the city

The AIFF is already progressing and how! The Bengaluru Football Club newest venture to promote Grassroots in India is the introduction of the soccer schools in the city. AIFF President Praful Patel would indeed be a happy man to see the way the AIFF has going ahead, ever since Patel got home the rights to host the Under 17 FIFA World Cup. The article below tells you more about the soccer schools in the city and Praful Patel’s contributions towards the AIFF.

The AIFF is going all guns blazing, especially after AIFF President Praful Patel got home the rights to host the Under 17 FIFA world Cup, to be conducted in 2017. After the introduction of the Grassroots courses across India, the Bengaluru FC has come up with ideas, to back the program. Bengaluru FC, on Tuesday, announced the launch of the Bengaluru FC Soccer Schools - the club’s newest venture aimed at promoting and supporting football at the grassroots level. COO Mustafa Ghouse, Head Coach Ashley Westwood, Head of Youth Development Richard Hood and striker Robin Singh provided the blueprint for the soccer schools, the first of which is all set to start on the 20th day of April in Bellandur. According to sources, this is the Bengaluru FC’s third property after the BFC Bazaar and FC Day Out. According to sources, these schools will be providing training; thereby imparting modern methods of football coaching. Kids under the age group of 7, 9 and 11 will be an integral part of these schools, the design of which has been laid out by the coaching staff. Mr. Ghouse, who was present at the launch, said that this probably was the first step to the growth of the sport in Bengaluru. He further added that the concerned authorities would be further looking forward to expand this, thereby making way for a chain of schools, for the overall promotion of the sport in the city.

Prior to this, only Cricket occupied a major position in the country, when it came to the sporting events. However, with the introduction of the training schools and grassroots facilities, football in India would gain equal prominence and fame, in the years to come. In one of his interviews with the media, NCP Leader Praful Patel had also mentioned that he wanted to do to football, what IPL (Indian Premiere League) had done to world cricket. Just like the IPL was a launch pad for the budding talent, the Under 17 world Cup could as well spear head an era of revolutions in India, in terms of football. These schools will be providing two to three session every week, with designated days for practice games. The good news is that the players, who managed to stand out during the training process, will also avail a chance to get a look in to the club’s Elite Academy. Mr. Singh, who himself is a product of the TATA football Academy gave his views on these schools and grassroots programs. Here’s what Mr. Singh had to say. “I’ve come through an academy myself and completely understand the importance of one if you are to develop as a player. It’s wonderful to be part of a club that is promoting the grassroots at the right age and the future is surely bright for the children who are part of the program”.

Mr. Parth Jindal, who happens to be the CEO of the Bengaluru football Club that the fresh talent from these schools will also go on to represent clubs and then the country, one day. What was heartening to see was the amount of promise that Mr. Jindal showed through his words. Regardless of what happens in the years to come; it is indeed encouraging to see the Indian football taking up so many activities, for the promotion of the sport in the country. It seems that Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel has intent in all that he does, for the promotion of football in India. Towards the end of his speech, Mr. Jindal also spoke about the outcome of these schools that have been opened up in favor of the sport. “The Soccer Schools will also be a testament to the professionalism Bengaluru FC as a club, is striving to achieve. Through the soccer school programs the club hopes to mould young talent with the ultimate desire of creating players who will go on to not only represent BFC but also the country. There will be no greater moment for the club if our dreams are converted to reality. This is the start of something that is very close to our hearts and is a project that is going to form the cornerstone of our efforts.”

AIFF President Praful Patel had also placed a bid for India’s run to host the Club championships to be conducted in the 2015-2016. To read more information on the AIFF and Praful Patel biography, you can now go through his social media profile including his YouTube channel, Google+ and Facebook.

Surat-Paradip gas pipeline is a prized asset for the Heavy Industries

The 1550 km long Surat-Paradip gas pipeline has now become a prized asset for the Heavy Industries, as Industry behemoths have expressed their desire of investing in this project. Apart from GAIL India, that holds almost 51% stake in this project, a few other state run entities would also be rearing to form a joint venture, per se Surat-Paradip gas pipeline. The article below tells you more about the intricacies of this project and the contributions of our Heavy Industries Minister towards it.

Even before GAIL India could commence the proceedings of the 1550 km long Surat-Paradip gas pipeline, the other state run entities have showed interest in investing in this project. According to sources, apart from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and GAIL India, the other state run entities including Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd. (HPCL) and Engineers India Ltd. (EIL) have evinced interest in buying stakes in the 1,550-km natural gas pipeline, from South Gujarat to the Odisha coast. Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel, who would be overlooking the progress of this natural gas pipeline assignment, will have a major role to play in the way things span out, in regards to this undertaking. GAIL Chairman B. C .Tripathi also put forwards his views in regards to the joint venture that could be formed, keeping in mind the interest shown by the other state run entities. Here’s what Mr. Tripathi had to say. “With every player wanting a larger share, we have to try to give an equitable stake to everybody. We have not yet concluded the joint venture structure. We may do so in the next few months.” Whilst GAIL India would be holding a 51% stake in this project, the other parties might just participate through a policy of equity investment. In addition, resources confirmed that the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) did approach GAIL India, with aspirations of holding a 30 percent stake in this natural gas pipeline project.

Last April, GAIL secured rights to lay the pipeline, with a capacity to transport up to 60 million standard cubic meters a day (mscmd). GAIL will have 36 months to lay the pipeline and commission it. Mr. Tripathi also said that the work for the 36 inch pipeline will be over by 2015-16. He further added that GAIL India had already issued tenders in regards to this project and that the company would be meeting the deadline. Praful Patel’s contributions towards the growth of this project and the way it (the project) benefits the natural gas consumers will be of much importance. As a matter of fact, the pipeline project will start from the Mora region in Gujarat, extending its reach to Chhattisgarh and the state of Maharashtra, before it finally reaches Odisha. Currently, GAIL has a trunk pipeline network spanning around 11,000 km which it uses to market liquefied natural gas, both domestically produced and imported. It owns and operates 9,500 km of high pressure cross-country pipeline network, able to handle 175 mscmd. The significant augmentation of this pipeline throughout the country is what is going to benefit the consumers of natural gas, in the years to come.

NCP Leader Praful Patel also made way for rehashing and creating a totally new infrastructural base for the 1550 km long Surat-Paradip gas pipeline. This also signifies that in the next two or three year, there shall be a pan-India pipeline spanning almost 14,500 kms, with a capacity of handling volumes of 300 mscmd. The numbers are staggering and indeed and so are the strategies for this huge project. Concisely, India’s PSU’s are doing phenomenally well under Praful Patel. It was the implementation of the World’s Largest single location solar Power Plant followed by the Surat-Paradip Gas pipeline. The focus now would be on the implementation of the strategies for this project. Besides, if the Heavy Industries can keep this streak going on, India shall be a paramount predominant, in the years to come.

Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel also paved way for the NEMMP 2020, which would lead to the production of zero emission hybrid and electric vehicles. For more Praful Patel information, follow him on his social networking sites including Facebook, Google+ and his YouTube channel.
