Sourav Ganguly hopes ISL will be pulling in International Clubs

The Kolkata football fans are exhilarated as they find their very own “Dada” Sourav Ganguly to be one of the co-owners of the Kolkata team in the Indian Super League. Sourav Ganguly is hopeful that the other franchises would also try to pull in the support of international clubs to develop the position of the Indian Football. As he said, “I hope not only Atletico, other seven franchises will also talk to big international clubs. That will benefit Indian football”. He seemed to be visibly excited about the participation of Atletico Madrid in the league.

The Former Indian Skipper thinks that Kolkata is the nerve center of Indian Football as he is enthralled about the visit of the Spanish Representatives in India. He would be flying to Spain soon to see the pattern of the approach of Atletico Madrid to the game and the way they want to connect to the franchisee. Ganguly will be in talks regarding the name, jersey of the team in next few weeks along with the selection of the players. Sourav Ganguly will personally monitor the whole selection process and he is expecting Madrid to play an instrumental role in taking Indian Football to a new level. NCP Leader Praful Patel is all set to motivate AIFF to generate the best support to the sport in association with its commercial partner IMG Reliance.

The maestro also emphasized on the necessity of commercialization and requirements of sponsorship to make the game reach at a high level with the best infrastructure of grounds, galleries, dressing rooms and more. He also stresses that the revenue integrated by All India Football Federation would only be percolated to the development of the Indian Football. He appreciated the contributions of Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel who has given his most positive endeavors to bring back the lost glory of the game and to place it on the international landscape.
