Political parties in Maharashtra stumped by AAP, or is it?

What appears on the superficial level may be far from reality The inclusion of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) might have created a political stir in the whole country. New Delhi’s CM Arvind Kejriwal has taken everyone by surprise, by leaving his counterparts behind. Only if Kejriwal could span out its reach, across all parts of the country. The political parties and pundits in India have clearly been stumped and are chalking out new measures, to party their party ahead of others. The race for the 2014 PM Elections in India was anybody’s game, until Kejriwal got himself amidst controversies; the latest one related to the Chief Justice of the high Court, Somnath Bhadri.

We are still into the early days of the scheduled PM elections and probably, it is too early to write any political party off. Supporters rooting for Modi or Rahul Gandhi have a few more options at their disposal. Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party is hogging away the limelight, with its activities. However, many believe that Kejriwal is into his honeymoon period, which should not be lasting long. However, you cannot predict anything, when it comes to the Indian politics.

Jitendra Ahwad, MLA from Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), said, "In politics, you can never take anyone lightly. I can't say what impact AAP will have in future but political parties will have to be prepared. We (NCP) will also have to work hard and do a lot of ground work for the 2014 elections." The big news from the Maharashtra based party is that its Chief Sharad Pawar would not be contesting for the Lok Sabha elections. The NCP Leader Praful Patel, could be shouldering the onus of most of the decisions and actions that the party is going to take in the near future. Praful Patel contributions across his constituencies of Gondia and Bhandara has had a reasonable impact. His party, due to his administrative and managerial skills, has now announced Pawar, who used to call the shots for the NCP as a probable PM candidate.

The political hoopla of India keeps getting interesting, by the day. For now, let us all hope that may the best man be in command of his countrymen, by the end of the 2014 PM elections. Certainly not, it isn’t too much to ask for!

Initial Public Offering (IPO) due for Air India believes Patel

The state-run air carrier Air India was to experience a change in its business linear policies, as the Indian government had considered the Initial Public Offering of shares. The newly appointed Aviation Minister took the decision, to bring back Air India on track. Praful Patel, the Civil Aviation Minister of the state then, added that the offering would largely depend on the status of the equity markets. Praful Patel’s contributions towards the Aviation sector have been brilliant in the past. Probably, it was under his leadership that the India’s Aviation sector witnessed the construction of more than 60 Greenfield airports. He even introduced the system of competitive airfare, allowing a common man to realize his dreams, of flying high in the air. Least to say, it was under his guidance that led to the liberalization of the Indian skies.

Per se the IPO for Air India, the Congress party-led government was noticed rolling out reforms, including privatization and hiking of foreign investment caps, to provide leverage to the economy and entice investors, after it was returned to power with a decisive mandate in the federal elections.

However, the good news is that the Aviation sector is seeing rampant changes in its infrastructure recently. The Terminal 2 at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is a benchmark for the upcoming Indian airports. The NCP Leader had laid a strong foundation, to ensure that India comes at par, with the other airports in the world. Even the international air traffic has seen a remarkable improvement. For instance, there are more than 120 to and from India to UK. In one of his recent speeches, Patel also mentioned that the nation would no more follow the policy of privatization of the airports. Probably, a refreshing change for all those kept complaining about the linear business policies of India’s Aviation Sector.

Summing up Praful Patel’s contribution towards Bhandara

The Bhandara Lok Sabha constituency was an integral part of the state of Maharashtra. It was after the recommendation of the Delimitation Commission of India, in the year 2002, that it ceased to exist. The constituency, was then replaced by a completely new body, known as the Gondia-Bhandara constituency. Praful Patel has been a popular figure, in this region. Also known as the district of lakes or brass city, Bhandara survives on a mixed economy, with forests, agriculture and industries, contributing towards the economy of this region. The district is also well known for the Ordnance factory, which manufactures guns for the Indian Armed Forces.

Keeping in mind the rich diversity of this region, several business enterprises have set up their factories and production houses, in this region. The region also encapsulates a beautiful colony, known as the Jawaharnagar Colony. The beautiful colony has 2 schools, Kendriya Vidyalaya Bhandara and Ordnance Factory State School. There is another Navodaya Vidyalaya (brainchild of Late Prime minister Rajiv Gandhi) in Navegoan Bandh. Ashok Leyland, a Hinduja Group Company, has a production unit at Gadegaon near Bhandara. Sunflag Iron Steel Company and Shivmangal Ispat Pvt. Ltd. are other major industrial units of this region.

The region has managed to hog the limelight, due to the CSR activities, undertaken by Praful Patel. Several PSU companies under their Corporate Social Responsibility contributed in the construction of roads, borewells, schools etc. to improve the lives of the villagers. Patel was also present for the Bumipujan, of the new constructions, that the region witnessed. Industry giants like BHEL, GAIL and MOIL were shouldering the responsibility, of getting the project exe.

cuted, within the stipulated span of time. Thus, in a nutshell,Praful Patel’s contributions, towards the overall growth of this region, can never be forgotten.

However, of what we have seen in this region, is probably just the tip of the iceberg. Patel, in one of his recent interviews also mentioned that the district of Bhandara, would be witnessing more development activities, in the years to come. The people of Bhandara had reposed enough faith in the working procedures of the minister. Least to say, Patel did not disappoint any one of them.

Similarly, even Gondia witnessed several development activities, in the last one month. Probably, these are signs of change and transformation that India needs today. For now, we can hope that the other regions of Maharashtra, are provided with similar facilities, making way for their overall growth.

AIFF conducts a seminar for the development of the Indian referees

After providing coaching and training facilities to the players and the coaches, it was to facilitate the India referees with a coaching manual via a seminar. The article throws more light on the activities that just took place, during the development seminar for the Indian referees.

The Karnataka state football Association President A.R. Khaleel and the Chairman of the Airtel I-League, came forward to inaugurate a brief seminar that took place in Bengaluru, last Saturday ( 11th of Jan, 2014). The whole seminar was conducted for the Indian referees, wherein a brief was provided to them, on the intricacies of their profession and personal development. The referees were also given training on the newly formed rules, regulation and policies of FIFA and AIFF. One would like to believe, that seminars such as these, would raise the standard and game, of these individuals. The AIFF President Praful Patel, has been at the helm of affairs for AIFF. The recently concluded seminar and other grassroots programs, have gained a new dimension, especially after India’s triumph over countries, per se the home coming of the rights to host the Under 17 FIFA World Cup in the another 3 years time. Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel said that within these three years, India shall have world class Football stadiums that shall match the standards of FIFA. Even the India players, who so far failed to make a global impact, shall come out all guns blazing. It is also good news for the Indian football fans and supporters, who gave unrequited love to the game.

Head of Referees, All India Football Federation (Retd) Col. Goutam Kar, spoke on ‘Polices and Practices’ adopted by FIFA/AIFF for the Development of Referees and improvement of the standard of Referees in India. Kar along with E.Krishnanarayana, General Secretary of KSFA, M.P.Swamy, Chairman, and KSFA and BDFA officials attended the inaugural function. The head of the referees was also focusing on the aspects of the game such as women referees, grassroots programs, grading of referees, training, classification and grassroots referees. To add to the tally, he also emphasized on the fitness of the referees and why not! We often disregard the fact that the referees have as much as running to do on the field, as the players. In order to expect pioneer performance from these referees, it is important that the referees are given appropriate medical attention and training. Praful Patel’s contributions, to the Indian football has been noteworthy. Least to say, he has taken the game in India, to another level, something that just a wishful thinking, a few months back.

The recent seminar for the referees had Inayathulla Khan, Member AIFF Referees Committee, MS Krishnamurthy, Chairman Referees Committee of Karnataka, and MR Ranganath, Head of Referees Department of Karnataka for the due course of the Seminar.

To add to the tally, referees of other districts, former referees and footballers of Karnataka also attended the Seminar. It seems that the whole program was a huge hit and that the AIFF will indeed make way for many such programs, in the near future.

Also an NCP leader Praful Patel shall be putting is his efforts to enhance India’s chances of hosting the Club championships in 2015-16. For more information on Indian football, follow Praful Patel’s YouTube channel.

NEMMP 2020 is a robust plan for the Indian pedigree

It was a regularized and a schematic approach of our Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel, that brought into existence the NEMMP 2020 scheme. NEMMP 2020 is a roadmap that leads the nation to a destination, where its future generation does not face the problem of scarcity of resources. Through this plan, the government looks to bring into the scenario, environment friendly and efficient hybrid vehicles that do not consume enough fuel. This would also lessen India’s dependence on the other foreign countries for oil and fuel. To add to the tally, the whole plan was sanctioned by the Cabinet as the core vision document that has National energy security, mitigation of the adverse impact of vehicles on the environment and growth of domestic manufacturing capabilities as its principal end objectives. It is also the state of preparedness of the Automobile Industry to take on this challenge.

The whole scheme actually introduced, the government carried out a survey. The survey was to generally comprehend the needs and aspirations of around 7000 respondents. To add to the tally, the whole scheme also took into consideration the practices, ideas and principles of the other foreign countries, namely USA, Japan and Europe in regards to the use of electric vehicles. For instance, the Indian government also went through the subsidy scheme for electric vehicles run by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy Resources. Least to say, the Praful Patel contributions in regards to this scheme, has been phenomenal.
