NCP to revise its decision of contesting from the constituency seats in Goa

The Shard Pawar led NCP Party would be revising its decision to contest the Lok Sabha elections from the North Goa and the South Goa constituency. Pawar, who would not be contesting this year’s Lok Sabha elections believes that clash in opinions and the division of votes between Congress and the NCP party might just give BJP an added advantage. The article below tells you more about what Sharad Pawar had to say about these seats and the role to be played by Praful Patel, in the absence of NCP’s top drawer candidate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

It was over an argument of seats, that NCP had initially decided to severe the alliance with the Congress party. It was the idea of dividing the votes then that reconciled matters. However, when the senior NCP members met Sharad Pawar in Mumbai, most of them said that the division of votes between NCP and Congress might just give BJP an added advantage. Probably, this is one reason that Sharad Pawar’s NCP might just bow out of the race, handing over the North Goa and the South Goa seats to Congress Party. The decision however will be reviewed for one final time, when NCP Leader Praful Patel meets the NCP leaders in Goa tomorrow. "Ideally, the alliance means NCP will not contest from both seats, giving away North Goa seat to the Congress which was traditionally fought by the Pawar-led NCP," sources said. The NCP leaders that have yielded per se the Goa seats said that the NCP party was aspiring for a better share of seats from the Congress Party in the 2017 Goa Assembly Elections. NCP Goa chief spokesman Trojano D'Mello said that the final decision on the alliance would be made tomorrow and subsequently, the announcement would be made.

Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel, who looks after the proceedings in Goa, will have a major say, in regards to the North Goa and the South Goa seats. Currently, it seems the Congress and the NCP has inched closer for a pre-poll alliance in Goa, with the Sharad Pawar-led party unlikely to contest from both the Lok Sabha constituencies. In addition, the absence of Mr. Sharad Pawar from the Lok Sabha elections might sorely influence NCP’s fate in the upcoming elections. However, Praful Patel, who plays a second fiddle to Mr. Pawar in the party, will leave no stone unturned, to ensure that his party achieves the much deserved success. However, prior to NCP’s recent statement on the North Goa seats, the party had even announced its state chief Nilkant Halarnkar as a candidate from North Goa and Yuri Alemao as its South Goa candidate. With the Lok Sabha elections around the corner, most political parties would be looking to wrap up their decisions, related to fielding candidates from respective constituencies. On the same lines, even the Nationalist congress Party would be eager to give their final decision on the seats in the Goa constituencies, to make things easier for the Election Commission of India. The hassle over the Goa constituencies is not the first time that the NCP and the Congress disagreed. Prior to this, the alliance also tugged enough, when it came to the overall distribution of seats, between both of them.

Probably, the decision on the Goa constituencies might just prove to be the most crucial and the final one (in regards to the seat sharing issue), that the alliance would have to make, before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. To ensure success in the elections, both, the NCP and the Congress would be chalking out measures to ensure that the proceedings are conducted without any hassle. Like always, Praful Patel’s contributions towards the performance of the NCP in the elections would be vital. Even before this, Patel through his endeavors has proved his mettle and justified his title of the ‘Reformer of the year’, that was bestowed on him by The Economic times.

NCP Leader Praful Patel would once again be looking to register a victory from the Gondia-Bhandara constituency, leaving behind age old competitor Nana Patole (BJP) and the debutant Prasanth Mishra (AAP). NCP strategizes for the elections in Gujarat

The alliance between NCP and the Congress party seems to be doldrums, at least in Gujarat. NCP Leader Praful Patel would be meeting the senior party leader of Congress, Ahmed Patel, to discuss issues on seat sharing in Gujarat, for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Patel also mentioned that if there was no solution to the problem, NCP would be fielding independent candidates in the state, for all the 26 available seats. Here’s all you need to know about the seat sharing issue between NCP and Congress in Gujarat.

With less than a month left for the Lok Sabha elections, almost all political parties are ensuring that they have their list of candidates ready, who would be contesting elections from the respective state in India. Similarly, NCP Leader Praful Patel would be conducting a meeting with the senior Congress party member Ahmed Patel, to bring finality to the problem of the seat sharing issue in Gujarat. The central leadership of both the parties would try to ensure that the decision taken would be on a mutually beneficial one for both the parties. However, Praful Patel, who is out all guns blazing, will ensure that his party tastes success, in the upcoming elections. On the same lines, Patel said, “If no solution comes from the meeting, we will break the alliance here and field our candidates in all the 26 seats in the state.” Probably, this isn’t the first time that both the alliances are going through a phase of conflicting opinions. Prior to this, the NCP and the Congress party disagreed on the seat sharing in Goa too. Whilst the NCP party was rearing to field its candidates in North Goa and South Goa, the Vice President of the Congress Party Rahul Gandhi said that the Congress has been pressing for the North Goa seat for long now.

Tracing the problems of the seat sharing issue, Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel spoke to the media about them. Here’s what he had to say. “The rift was because Congress leader Arjun Modhwadia was not willing to let us field our candidate from Porbandar. We have decided to field Kandhal Jadeja, but Arjun Bhai was adamant on not fielding him. Even a layman knows how strong a candidate Kandhal Jadeja is, then why Congress leaders are playing this game?” Patel obviously looked miffed at the policies deployed by the alliance of the NCP party. Shaktisinh Gohil, who happens to be a senior leader and spokesperson of the Congress party, further said that the Congress was ready to give NCP three seats with one of them being in Porbandar. He also said that he had talk with Arjun Modhwadia on the same issue too. Talking about the alliance between NCP and Congress, Gohil said, “ We cannot declare right now whether the alliance will continue or not. There is nothing concrete right now.”

With already too much happening and a lot more waiting, NCP decisions of forming an alliance with Congress in Gujarat, could decide the fate of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Like always, Praful Patel’s contributions towards his party and also towards the Gujarat issue shall be of much importance. NCP Chief of Gujarat and an MLA Jayant Patel said, “Praful Patel and (Congress president's political secretary) Ahmed Patel will hold a meeting and take decision on whether the NCP-Congress alliance should continue.” Currently, both the parties at the moment would be looking to redress the problem of seat sharing in Gujarat, without any hassle. If the alliance needs to be intact, the NCP and the Congress party will have to work towards it. Vice President of congress Rahul Gandhi, who is also a PM aspirant in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, will be more focused on acquiring 279+ seats from the listed constituencies, to register a victory. With the passage of time, we hope things fall into place for the political parties and the nation forms a government, with a majority.

NCP Leader Praful Patel would be looking after the strategies of the NCP party; thereby playing a second fiddle to NCP chief Sharad Pawar, who would be vying for a Rajya Sabha seat instead. Patel’s onslaught against AAP over Delhi’s incident

AAP’s political tour to Gujarat ended in a fiasco as the people of Gujarat failed to welcome Delhi’s ex CM warmly. The stone pelting incident in Delhi further worsened things for Kejriwal and now it seems that the AAPtards have a lot of work cut out, as the General elections are knocking the door. NCP Leader Praful Patel also seems to be disgusted with AAP’s activities in several parts of the country. The article below tells you more about Patel’s reactions to AAP’s dopey action.

Referring to the tom foolish political activities in Delhi, NCP Leader Praful Patel expressed his disgust over such happening and said that these activities tend to lower the country’s political standards. Without hinting at a particular party, Patel said that parties and individuals who talk of brining changes and political reforms in the country are themselves involving in roadside activities such as stone pelting. "This shows that their level has lowered," Patel told the reporters after being exposed after offering prayers at the Dargah of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti here. A few pedestrians attacked the vehicle of the party member namely Navneet Rana (contesting from Amravati on NCP’s ticket), early last week. Patel further said that these were strategic moves that aimed at defaming NCP before the beginning of the political season in India. There also have been instances on earlier occasions, where the political parties have resorted to cheap means of taking revenge. After such incidents, many would like to believe that India is yet to come of age in the political section and that such activities would by no means help the cause of any party, fighting the Lok Sabha elections.

Targeting BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, Patel said Gujarat has been a developed state for a long time and it is not right to say that all progress took place in the last 5-10 years and rightly so. Compared to other states, Gujarat has been phenomenal in certain areas namely employment, literacy rate and the existence of poverty. Several foreign countries have also showed enough interest in investing in Gujarat, keeping in mind the resources of the region and the business policies formed by the ruling party of this region. On the flipside, Praful Patel’s contributions towards the growth of his own party in the Western part of the country have been equally exceptional. Ranging from setting up colleges in Gondia to unveiling airports and developmental structures in these regions, Patel has once again done it all. People from Gondia and Bhandara would once again want their leader Praful Patel to be in charge of the constituencies, if the chain of the developmental activities, need to gain momentum.

With the elections around the corner, the NCP party is already making some crucial changes, in regions like Nagaland. NCP legislator and chairperson MARCOFED Mmhonlumo Kikon has been appointed as its central observer for NE states. In a letter to Mmhonlumo, AIFF President Praful Patel stated that Pawar was pleased to appoint Kikon as the central observer for the NE states. In addition to that, Pawar also appointed Nagaland’s MLA Imtilemba Sangtam as the party's state unit president. It was learnt that the incumbent state NCP president, Neiba Ndang, was reportedly elevated as NCP's national secretary. In a couple of week’s time, all the political parties will have the stage set, for India’s biggest political event; General elections 2014. In accordance to this event, BJP’s top drawer PM candidate Narendra Modi has also announced the fact that he would be contesting the elections from Varanasi this time, while Rahul Gandhi , Vice President of the Congress party decided on contesting it from Amethi. With all this and more happening in the country at the moment, the nation awaits its most deserving Prime Minister candidate. It surely has been a long wait but it shall eventually turn out to be a fruitful one.

NCP Leader Praful Patel will be shouldering the responsibility of all the activities related to the Lok Sabha polls, as NCP Chief Sharad Pawar would be contesting in the Rajya Sabha elections. Rahul Narwekar from Shiv Sena joins NCP

Agitated by controversies and inundated by sabotage within his party against him, Shiv Sena’s spokesperson Rahul Narwekar has finally severed ties with Shiv Sena and joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Post joining the NCP, the Chief of the party Sharad Pawar immediately said that Narwekar would be NCP’s nominee from Mawal in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Narwekar, who has been the chief spokesperson for the Shiv Sena since 2010, spoke to the media channels, “I was a victim of internal politics [in the Sena], I was not comfortable. At all levels in the organisation, there was sabotage against me.” Concisely, Narwekar’s decision to quit his party could be seen as a major setback for the Shiv Sena, especially when the Lok Sabha elections are just a few weeks away now. On the other, NCP Leader Praful Patel would indeed be happy to have the likes of Narwekar in his ranks. Narwekar’s experience would come in handy for NCP in the Lok Sabha elections, especially when NCP Chief Sharad Pawar would be contesting for the Rajya Sabha elections.

Sharad Pawar had also held several meetings with Rahul Narwekar, before he joined the NCP. Pawar, after his meetings with Narwekar told the media, “We have a list of senior Sena leaders who are keen to join NCP. If I disclose the list, Uddhav will have to spend sleepless nights.” According to reports, more than a dozen members from the Shiv Sena have left the party and joined Congress, NCP or MNS. Narwekar, who was a candidature for the Legislative Council elections said, “I was asked to file the nomination papers despite the fact that the Sena did not have an adequate number of votes. I was expecting that the party will organized the required votes. Ultimately, I withdrew my nomination when I found that defeat was in store owing to lack of adequate support.” Narwekar here spoke about how his own party and their members denied support to him at the very last moment and neither did they come to his rescue.

According to sources, Narwekar had served Shiv Sena for almost a decade and a half. On being deserted by his party, Narwekar added that he had no option but quit Shiv Sena, with a heavy heart. Talking about his withdrawal, Rahul Narwekar exhorted that the Shiv Sena party was already informed his withdrawal from the party. Is sources are to be trusted, Rahul Narwekar had also informed Uddhav Thakkrey about the state of affairs within the party, before finally quitting Shiv Sena. Now that Rahul Narwekar is to start afresh with NCP this time, Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel would be ensuring that Narwekar’s political potential, spells success for the NCP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

NCP trenches tie with RPI’s Gavai faction

The three important names from Vidarbha have already been announced by the NCP. While Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel would be contesting from the Gondia and Bhandara seat, the South Indian starlet Navneet Rana and the debutant Krishnarao Ingle would be contesting from Amravati and Buldhana respectively. It is indeed a risky and a bold move, made by the NCP, fielding new and unknown faces in these regions, but then, that is what the Nationalist Congress Party is all about. In one of its interactions with the media, the senior party members had made it clear that the upcoming Lok Sabha elections will pave way for a few new faces in the party, with the old ones looking after the other important aspects. For instance, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar would be contesting for a Rajya Sabha seat instead. Pawar had taken this decision as he said that it would allow him more time to concentrate on the party work.

However, the Amravati decision taken by the NCP also signals the end of an era; the era that witnessed a tie between the RPI faction and the NCP. The decision will indeed have its own repercussions all over the state. Probably, the pent up emotions of the Dalits might burst forth too. However, it seems that the NCP is steadfast with its decision and is in no mood to relent into flimsy public opinions. On the flipside, NCP Leader Praful Patel would be of crucial help to his young party members, sharing all the experience that he has under his belt, in the absence of the NCP chief. Navneet Rana, who was keen on availing a ticket for the Lok Sabha elections from any party, has her aspiration fructified with the NCP. However, it is a calculated decision taken by the NCP party. Navneet Rana of being from the scheduled caste and the seat is especially reserved for that caste.  With RPI patriarch RS Gavai unwell and ageing, the party was seen as fumbling under his son Rajendra's stewardship. What finally snapped the long political marriage between RPI and NCP was that the latter insisted on Rajendra contesting from the seat on NCP's 'clock' symbol. Gavai did not agree to this, as it would mean a slight to the party floated by Babasaheb Ambedkar. Simply, this is how the political world is meant to be. Each party for its own!

AIFF President Praful Patel who is stalwart and a man of resource for the NCP might not be threatened by BJP’s bet on Nana Patole. However, many believe that AAP might just play a spoilsport to Patel’s hopes and aspirations as US-returned techie Prashan Mishra will be gunning against Patel from the Gondia-Bhandara seat. However, for that to happen, the Aam Aadmi Party needs to stabilize itself, if it all it desires to make an impact in the upcoming elections. Wishful thinking!

Lastly, Krishnarao Ingle, an ex-MLA has been chosen from Buldhana by the NCP, where the Shiv Sena has been winning repeatedly for the last few terms. Ingle has pipped Rekha Khedkar, who switched over to the NCP from the BJP. The political calculations of these parties might just take a detour upsetting so many of their plans. However, this is not going to stop them from putting in their best, allowing them to achieve desired results in the LS polls.

The excess PSU funds now to be utilized for infrastructure development

India’s Heavy Industries is certainly doing well for itself, as the excess fund generated by these units will now be utilized for the development of the infrastructure in India. To ensure the execution of the same, Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel attended a meeting with all the heads of the PSUs to discuss issues such as cash dividends, dividend payouts, cash balances, reserves and CAPEX progress. The article below tells you more about the progress and the development activities of the PSUs in recent times.

The Indian government is now contriving a way to utilize the excess funds of the PSUs for the development of infrastructure in the country. Heavy Industries Minister Praful Patel must be a happy man to see these units doing well in recent times, even when the odds seem to be insurmountable. Patel recently attended a meeting with the chiefs and heads of the PSUs to discuss subject matters related to cash dividends, dividend payouts, cash balances, reserves and CAPEX progress. India’s infrastructure will now gain leverage, which will further allow her to compete with the other leading nations of the nation, per se infrastructure. The National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council put the suggestion forth and the government took immediate actions. The uphill movement of the PSUs is certainly helping to enhance the economic condition of the country, inspite of several mega projects, being left in limbo due to issues related to environmental clearances.

Praful Patel’s contributions towards the growth of the Heavy Industries and PSUs have been phenomenal. Be it setting up the world’s largest Single Solar Power Plant in Rajasthan or ensuring the success of the Auto Expo 2014, Praful Patel has been a name to reckon with. In addition, Patel was also responsible for seeking an extension for BHEL’s chief P.B. Rao, after he reached his superannuation age. BHEL has been doing considerably well, in regards to the government projects. With enough experience and finesse under its belt, BHEL is amongst those six companies that have come together to form a joint venture. This venture is shouldering the responsibility of executing the Single Solar Power Plant project in Rajasthan. BHEL also holds the largest share in this joint venture. The Automobile segment isn’t far behind the PSUs either. Post the announcement of the interim budget, the automobile segment would be looking forward to perk up its sales, after a period of lull that it has experienced in recent past.

NCP Leader Praful Patel will also have a major role to play, as far as the proceeding of the Automobile Industry in India is concerned. P. Chidambaram, the Finance Minister announced a deduction in the excise duty for the SUVs and the two wheelers. This would now allow more and more customers to buy their favorite range of cars; the sedans and the raging SUVs. Post the announcement of the budget, most industries in India have now gained some amount of stability. It is now time for each of them, to invade new markets and make optimum use of the untapped resources.

NCP Leader Praful Patel would now be looking to make inroads in the unexplored markets, post the success of the Automobile Industry at Auto Expo 2014. For more Praful Patel information, follow him on his social networking sites including Facebook, Google+ and his YouTube channel.

Patel lambasted Rahul Gandhi’s remark on politicians heading sports bodies

Praful Patel has always been closely related to the sports bodies in India. Least to say, he has done enough justice to the same, with his managerial skills. There is a plethora of sports bodies in India that Patel has been a part of. Here is the complete list. Associated Sports and Clubs include the Gondwana Club, Nagpur Lions International Club, Gondia Football President of the All India Football Federation (AIFF), Cricket Club Mumbai and Mumbai Cricket Association, Mumbai. Least to say, Patel already has enough experience in handling sports bodies efficiently. In such cases, Patel’s lambasting of Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on politicians heading sports bodies is justified. The article below tells you more about it.

Months ago, the Vice President of Congress, Rahul Gandhi had endorsed the idea of keeping politicians away from the sports bodies. NCP Leader Praful Patel, who is also a part of the Congress ally, simply refuted the suggestion for reasons well known. Probably, it seems there was no logic behind what Rahul Gandhi said since Patel has been more than loyal to his sports bodies. Currently, Patel heads the All India Football Federation. In his capacity of a President of the AIFF, Patel also got home the rights to host the Under 17 FIFA world Cup, in the year 2017. This is a feat that has never been achieved by another minister or a president of a parent football body. Thus, Patel’s stint and association with the sports bodies, is justified every moment. Besides, it has never been about an individual or an organization. Anyone, who does justice enough to his/her post, is considered the apt one. So be it with Praful Patel as well.

It is Patel’s love and passion for sports and games that allows him to work in interest of the sports bodies of the nation. In one of his recent interviews, Patel also mentioned, “I can tell you one thing, I'm passionate for the sport and I am there because the people in the football fraternity think that I am eligible for the job and doing a good job.” It is in the interest of the country that every individual must strive for. Thus, in such cases, there is no reason behind questioning the association of our ministers, if they’ve been able to bring laurels home and make the country proud by their achievements. To counter Patel’s ideas, Rahul Gandhi said, "If you are talking about sports and how to make it more accessible, then more and more powers should go to sportspersons when deciding things about sports in the country."AIFF President Praful Patel on the same lines reamed Gandhi’s statement by saying, “I don't think it should be linked to being a politician. It should be linked to performance." In a very prissy manner Patel continued, “What is this nonsense going on in this country. Politician shouldn't do this. Politician shouldn't do that. Is the politician fundamentally a bad person? To be looked at as an object of hate. What is a politician? He comes out of a due process of a democratic election. Let the people judge if this cynicism and this environment that is being created are good for Indian democracy."

Patel has gotten more famous with his people, especially after bringing home the rights to host the Under 17 FIFA World Cup. He had also placed a bid, as India would also be contesting against the other foreign nations, to host the Club Championships in 2015-16. It is under his president ship, that the AIFF won the award for the best National Sports Federation. The title has been bestowed by FICCI. The achievement has also lead to the revival of football in India after decades. Thus, Praful Patel’s contributions towards the growth of the sporting activities in India, has been spectacular. If this how the sporting bodies tend to function under ministers, the nation would always Praful Patel to be in charge of them.

AIFF President Praful Patel has also been lauded for his equal geographical distribution of the Grassroots Courses, across the nation. For more information on Praful Patel profile, follow him on his social networking sites including Google+, Facebook and his YouTube channel.
