Roberto Carlos quite confident about ISL debut

The former Brazilian star Roberto Carlos is all set to make his debut for Delhi Dynamos in the second edition of the Indian Super league . Appointed as the player manager by one of the leading franchises to participate in the league, Carlos sounds quite positive and confident about his ISL debut. As one of the prominent names in world football, Carlos is highly recognized for his curling free kicks which takes the opposition defence by surprise and smashes into the net. Better known as the banana free kicks, the curl on the ball is sometimes quite hard to fathom as there is a stupendous bent.

He has himself stated that he practices those free kicks on a regular basis and is determined to perform at the best of ability in the upcoming ISL matches.  The free kicks can cause a few nightmares to the custodians below the bar. Standing at the age of 42, Carlos has enough ammunitions up his sleeve to act as a worrying factor for any defence in the world. His overlapping runs down the left flank and quick centers can provide the right support to the strikers who gets the opportunity to score any moment.

He was looking quite confident during the ISL auction and draft ceremony and mainly interacted with former soccer great Zico from his home country of Brazil. Although speaking in fluent English is a bit of a problem for Carlos, he always believes that the language of football is universal.  Under the Praful Patel biography Indian football has progressed quite effectively over the years. As the President of the  All India Football Federation minister Praful Patel has taken several measures for the development of the sport in the country.

JCT to come back in the top flight of Indian football

Better known as the Jagatjit Cotton & Textile Mills, the club had a miraculous exit from Indian football after excelling at a premier level for quite a some time. The team last competed in the 2010-11 season and exited after undergoing relegation. Several India international legends like Bhaichung Bhutia and IM Vijayan  have excelled in the club making it one of the best in the country.

Indian national team to get more priority during ISL

The Indian national football team is all set to get more priority during the course of the ISL.  Before the end of this year, the Indian team is going to face the tough challenge of World Cup qualifiers.  Keeping the outright focus on the World Cup qualifying campaign, the clubs will have to release the players during this particular phase. India has some of the toughest matches lined up come October and incidentally the ISL just commences during that time only.  It is up to the head coach of the national team Stephen Constantine to call the players as and when required for the camps.

The All India Football Federation shares a very good understanding with the ISL clubs and national duty comes foremost for the players. The performance of the Indian team in the ongoing World Cup qualifying campaign has not been up to the mark and the players really need to perform well in the crucial matches ahead. With India looking to compete with  some of the best teams in Asia like Iran and Oman, all the high quality players need to be available.  As per the plan which has been devised by Constantine, the team needs to arrive for a preparatory camp in August which will continue till September.

For this particular reason only, some of the coaches were reluctant to select national team players during the pre season auction and draft.  Under the Praful Patel biography, Indian football has progressed quite well  with the launch of a new league like ISL.  The ISL is one of the most commercially successful football leagues ever to have taken place in the country.  For more Praful Patel news, you can certainly log on to his social media pages on Facebook and Twitter.
