JCT to come back in the top flight of Indian football

JCT Mills Phagwara, the first winners of the National league is all set to make a comeback in the top flight of Indian football. Better known as the Jagatjit Cotton & Textile Mills, the club had a miraculous exit from Indian football after excelling at a premier level for quite a some time. The team last competed in the 2010-11 season and exited after undergoing relegation. Several India international legends like Bhaichung Bhutia and IM Vijayan  have excelled in the club making it one of the best in the country.

The loss of JCT from the top flight was certainly a setback for Indian football but their revival certainly augurs for a bright future ahead. Currently, the Punjab based side has appointed the services of reputed Spanish coach Juanjo Royan Blanco. Blanco plans  to revive the entire side and provide it with the much needed fillip in Indian football. After the club was disbanded way back in the 2010-11 season, it continued with an U-19 side and the senior team will again be launched soon. Blanco has quite an enriched experience up his sleeve and has been in India since the year 2013.

Under the President of the All India Football Federation, Praful Patel Profile Indian football has come a long way and the revival  of top club like JCT happens to be quite a positive sign. Blanco stands out to be a UEFA A certified coach which is quite an accredited degree to have as per world coaching standards. You can log to the social media pages like Facebook and Twitter for more Praful Patel news. The trials are due on the 7th and 8th of this month which happens to be a great opportunity for the budding players.
