AIFF top notch meets I league club officials

The All India Football Federation top notch met the officials of the leading I league clubs in a recently concluded meeting.  This is being considered as one of the most important meetings of the recent times as a variety of development activities were discussed. 

The honorary President of the All India Football Federation Praful Patel, general secretary Kushal Das and Sunando Dhar, CEO were all present at the meeting. 

The last edition of the Hero I league has been quite successful and a variety of action plans to make it more popular and interesting were discussed.  It is imperative to create hype around the I league and make it all the more commercially successful. 

A different set of plans were shared by the clubs to promote the league in a better way.  Each of the clubs needs to form two committees  like marketing and technical who will supervise the various functionalities related to the league.  As per the President of the All India Football Federation minister Praful Patel, the I league just stays as the primary league of the country. Mr. Sunando Dhar, the CEO of the I league also emphasized on the fact that a visit to Europe has been planned to discuss factors like fan development and marketing.

The stage is all set for some exciting football action ahead. With India and Oman locking horns with each other in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers all are keyed up for some great football.  The city of Bengaluru is all decked up for this crucial game as fans flock the Kanteerva stadium in numbers.   Both the teams are ready for an even contest and are all geared up to take on each other.

The Indian head coach Stephen Constantine has picked up a fresh and young side ahead of the game who can give Oman quite a run for their money. India is currently placed at the 141st position in the FIFA rankings and hopes to come up with a good performance.  Some of the most experienced players who performed well for the team in prior instances have been left out by Constantine.

FIFA elite course acts as a learning curve for Indian coaches

It is very important to evolve as a football coach and make the necessary impact when it matters.  The competitive stature of world football has changed in every way and a FIFA elite course was recently organized for the Indian coaches. The entire duration of a football match acts as a litmus test for the coach and he or she needs to take prompt decisions to emerge victorious. Around 31 coaches from different clubs of India participated in the coaching course and contributed to its success.  Some of the best coaches from India like Santosh Kashyap, Savio Madeira, Sanjoy Sen, Derek Pereira  participated in the different activities outlined for the course.  Interestingly, coaches from both the I league and also the second division took part in it with the venue being Margao located in the state of Goa. The course curriculum covered some of the most important facets of modern football like various tactics, philosophies and systems.  Some of the basics of the game are also covered in the course with a variety of innovations. 

The AIFF took a very good initiative in leveraging the course with adequate professional back up. Jochem Figge, the professional instructor from Germany has been hired for providing all the knowledge related to the course. Figge has also coached some of the recognized teams in the world like Zambia and Ethiopia.

Renowned coach Sanjoy Sen who played a crucial role in the victory of the  Bagan side in the I league highly praised the initiative.  As the  President of the All India Football Federation minister Praful Patel has developed the format of the I league and made it highly updated. Constantine faces tough opposition against Oman

Stephen Constantine is one of the acclaimed coaches from Europe and has taken over the reign of the Indian national football team. The All India Football Federation is all set to push for Indian origin foreign players in the national team. Derek Bragg to help Indian football in scouting program

AIFF and French Football Federation to Tie Up
