Aditi Chouhan becomes first Indian lady to play professional football in England

Over the years a massive progress in Indian football has been witnessed with the introduction of competitive leagues like the ISL and I league.  The womens arena in Indian football has also not lagged behind and new talents have emerged who possess the potential to compete with the best in the world.

With proactive coaching, modern technical dynamics and latest infrastructure facilities being introduced new stars in Indian football have come up to showcase their immense talent.  Recently,  latest Indian women’s  football team sensation Aditi Chouhan has been roped in by famous English club West Ham United. 

Aditi is one of the brightest prospects of Indian football and has already represented the country at the U-19 and senior level. Previously the goalkeeper of the men’s team Gurpreet Singh Sandhu has been selected in a Norwegian club and it has now been proved that woman power is no different in Indian football.  As per a recent statement which has been released by the West Ham United football club, Aditi has impressed quite well in the practice games by showing good athleticism and flexibility.  She is also good in challenging the air borne balls which acts as one of the toughest tests for the keeper. 

As the President of the All India Football Federation minister Praful Patel has taken several initiatives for the development of women’s football in the country. The emergence of new talents like Aditi Chouhan will only act as a catalyst for the other players.
