Ajit Pawar wishes 144 seats for NCP in Maharashtra Assembly Polls

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has won twice the total number of seats in comparison to Congress in Maharashtra in the recent Lok Sabha Polls. Keeping this fact in mind, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has sought the same number of seats for NCP with Congress in the upcoming State Assembly Elections. NCP has gained a good strength in Maharashtra than that of Congress and is expected to gain almost 144 seats in alliance with Congress in the Assembly Polls. Pawar expressed his concern regarding the seat at Palgarh last evening while he was addressing his party workers.

The Congress won only two seats in Maharashtra while NCP bagged four seats in the Lok Sabha Polls. Using the similar formula that Congress implemented for NCP to get more seats in 2009, NCP should get equal number of seats this time. Pawar has urged his party workers to undertake and conduct public awareness programmes ahead of the state polls. The basic plan has crafted as the party workers will individually visit every household and convey the citizens about the important decisions that have been taken by the party at the state level and also at the national level. NCP is leaving no stones unturned to rectify the loopholes which they committed during the Lok Sabha Election. As regards to the division Thane into Palgarh district, Pawar confirmed that the state government has taken all the necessary factors into account before any decision is taken.

Nationalist Congress Party is working dedicatedly for the development of the state and nation at large. The party, with the constant motivation from party president Sharad Pawar and NCP Leader Praful Patel, has been working on various relevant projects boosting the economy of the country. Praful Patel contributions have enabled Indian industries to work more on the indigenous resources and curb its import duties to countries like China and Russia.
