Sony Norde offered 6.6 cr deal by Mohun Bagan

Sony Norde, one of the most successful footballers in the recently concluded I league has been offered a 6.6 crore deal by current champions Mohun Bagan. Norde has been one of the sensational strikers in the league and played an imperative role in helping the club to win the coveted trophy.  As one of the  noted players for the club, Norde is in quite high demand this particular season. If the deal gets through,  Norde can easily be the highest paid player ever in Indian football.  The club aims to plan it with 2.2 crore at first and then enhance it in the subsequent seasons.

As per the version of Norde, he is quite happy to get the offer from the century old club but is reluctant to stay with the side for a period of 3 years.  Sony Norde is one of the most skillful strikers to have played in Indian football and currently wants to try his fortune even in Europe. With the second edition of the ISL scheduled to begin in October some of the top ISL franchises are also eyeing Sony for the upcoming season.

Some of the franchises who have shown specific interest  on Sony are Athletico De Kolkata, Mumbai City FC and Chennai FC. Bagan is quite keen to sign Norde in the squad and it all up to the Haitian to take the final call in this regard.

If the deal is signed all the previous ones in Indian football will be broken. As the President of the All India Football Federation minister Praful Patel has supported the development of the I league.

With more foreign players coming in, the quality of play has also enhanced. Under the Praful Patel constituency, Indian football has certainly progressed a long way.
