India made shining road in the world of sports

Indian Women are taking the nation’s glory to the pinnacle dominating in their own fields. From boxing to badminton, women have proved their tenacity and competencies in front of the whole world. India’s sports enthusiasts have received a severe blow when Indian Cricket Team got defeated in the World Cup semifinals of the ICC World Cup. But the Indian maiden brigade has proved it differently when it comes to reaching the top in world sports. It has been a glorious path for the Indian women players who have shone the nation it can be made big on the international front.

Saina Nehwal created a history as she was crowned the number one badminton player of the world. As she created history at the India Open Super Series, Saina Nehwal has sealed her mark in the world of sports. On the other hand Henna Siddhu has already proved her talent before the world when she becomes the ace shooter and has been conferred upon with Arjuna Award. The list of acknowledgement goes on with Sania Mirza winning the BNP Paribas Award alongside Martina Hingis. The pioneer of all these was Mary Kom who has shown her courage to form a legacy of her own. The women brigade has outperformed the men who have been so long receiving all the attention. 

AIFF President Praful Patel has always been a sports enthusiast. Even though he is closely interlinked with football, he has not missed any single opportunity to congratulate these players and has encouraged these women to make it a legacy ahead. 

Role of Praful Patel as the AIFF President has been a crucial factor behind the development of Indian Football on a global platform. Even in football women are making their mark. Indian Women’s Football Team has snatched their third consecutive victory in the SAFF Championship defeating Nepal in Islamabad. Players like Bala Devi and Oinam Bembem Devi have become a legendary names and inspiration for millions of footballers.

Patel has made it clear that the development of women’s football in India is an essential aspect for the overall progress of the sport in India. The matter has also been discussed in Annual General Meeting of All India Football Federation (AIFF), at the launch of Strategic Planning of AIFF and also when the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between AIFF and Japan Football Federation (JFF) in the most recent times.
