It was a pompous and an inspiring day for Gondia Education Society as the institute celebrated the 109th Birth Anniversary of Shri Manoharbhai Patel. The event was mainly organized with the purpose to felicitate the bright and the meritorious candidates from the institute. The ceremony became even more special with the presence of cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, film director Rajkumar Hirani and lyricist Prasoon Joshi.
Senior NCP Leader Praful Patel was the main organizer of the event as he is the son of Late Manoharbhai Patel. Patel himself volunteered the entire event from welcoming the guests of honour to awarding the students. He addressed the audience speaking about the contributions of his father towards the district and his dedication to spread education among the common mass. Sachin Tendulkar himself addressed the audience and expressed his delight for being a part of the event.
Manoharbhai Patel left a glorious legacy of reforms in the districts of Gondia and Bhandara. He wanted these backward regions of Vidharbha Region to grow and prosper so that the innocent people in these two districts can become self-reliant and can make a life for themselves. Praful Patel contributions in carrying out his father’s legacy surely cannot be denied as under him the education society got national acclaim. Today students from all across India are coming here and studying multiple disciplines in both technical and non-technical field. The event generated a message of motivation and positivity among the students of the Education society who are being encouraged to build a strong message.
