Three Executive Committee Members are to represent AIFF in FIFA Congress

This is a golden era for Indian Football as the sport is receiving ample international attention. The Committee Members from All India Football Federation are going to represent the organization in the 64th FIFA Congress. The members who are representing AIFF are Mr. Hardev Jadeja, AIFF Treasurer, Mr. Subhas Chandra and Mr. Ankur Dutta, Vice Chairperson of the Airtel I-League. According to a FIFA Statement, the ceremony has been scheduled to be held on June 10 and 11 in Sao Paolo Brazil.

The ceremony will come with the opening of the most critical gathering of International Football’s Governing Body, which has been slotted on June 10. The Congress, on the other hand, would take place on the eve of Brazil’s FIFA World Cup opener against Croatia in the same city.

Since 1998, the Congress has been taking place annually. The event makes decision relating to FIFA’s governing statues and the technique by which they are executed. The meeting also approves the annual report and takes up decision on the acceptance of new national associations and holds election, especially for FIFA Presidency.


Under AIFF President Praful Patel, the federation has taken initiatives to put Indian Football on an international landscape. With the recent success of getting to host U–17 World Cup in 2017, the excitement of the Indian clubs are running high. Even so, the commencement of Indian Super League will create a commendable platform for the Indian players to aim high for an international tournament.

With Praful Patel Contributions in the similar field, AIFF has developed its mode of operation in creating a prolific way for Indian Football. The purpose of the organization is to make the sport a number one in India. This is the high time that the developmental measures are incorporated in terms of organization and infrastructure.
