All India Football Federation (AIFF) is all set to professionalise every aspect of Indian Football. Be it grassroots programme or working in training young players. Similarly the federation is also taking instrumental initiatives in reshaping the women’s national team along with producing more and more young women through series of grassroots program.
With the launch of Strategic Planning, AIFF President Praful Patel said that a special focus has been given to improve the standard of women’s football as this would mean a complete developmental approach for the Indian Football. Kushal Das, General Secretary of AIFF had said that there are many avenues which need to be focused on and measures should be taken to convince the stakeholders regarding the potential of women’s football in India. There is a strong need of a well-built infrastructure and a financial support which might change the entire look of the women’s team. On top of that proper social awareness and respect for the women’s game need to be created.

It is through a structured set of grassroots programme and youth development programme, the sport is sure to get a boost on an international level. Presently, there are four academies which are constantly focusing on the training of the young kids. AIFF is about to open up more and more academies all across the nation pertaining to the popularization of the sports. The FIFA – AIFF academies are not only concentrating for the talented footballers but for also for those who want to be a part of the game for recreation.
