As per the current coach of the East Bengal side Biswajit Bhattacharya, Indian senior national team coach Stephen Constantine should speak to the club coaches. Constantine serving at the helm of Indian football took the charge of the national team and lost the initial two matches of the World Cup qualifiers against Oman and Guam. Indian football certainly needs to step up the ante and be one of the best in the international level. This calls for a compact side which has the capacity to take on any team in the world and come up with a formidable performance. Constantine wants to develop a team depending upon a nationwide scouting system network.
Bhattacharya on the other hand has opined that Constantine should immediately sit with the premier club coaches in India and discuss the quality of players he is looking for. He has also backed the idea of the PIO players suggested by Constantine to a great degree. The suggestion of PIO players has been quite acceptable as they have the experience of wrenching it out around the world. Their overall presence will certainly benefit the national team in a major way.
As the President of the All India Football Federation minister Praful Patel has taken a variety of initiatives for the progress of the sport in the country. A foreign coach like Constantine has been hired for the development of the national players and make them more competitive at an international level. It is up to a coach like Constantine to interact with the club coaches more and spot the right talents on offer.
